Destination: Heaven!
This evening in Kabale was very special. I am teaching the children how to use their daily devotional books and today’s focus was about not telling lies.
We read Psalm 12:2-4
“Everyone lies to their neighbour; they flatter with their lips but harbor deception in their hearts. May the LORD silence all flattering lips and every boastful tongue--those who say, “By our tongues we will prevail; our own lips will defend us--who is lord over us?”
John 8:44
"You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies,”
Revelation 21:8
But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars--they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”
We got to talking about the devil being the father of lies and about who is our father. All the older children expressed that they wanted God to be their father. I explained what that meant and they all said that they wanted to follow Jesus. So, in a tiny little room in southwestern Uganda, this evening, six children asked Jesus into their lives! 🎉🎉🙏🙏💕💕
What an awesome privilege it was to see these children so keen to follow Jesus and be part of that exciting moment when they put their trust in him!
Mark 10:15
Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.”
Whilst we were sharing, Derrick, who wants to be a pastor when he grows up, told us that he already has a name and a motto for his church!! There will be no stopping these children!! 💕
